Schedule of events leading up to the 2010 National Jamboree

August 23rd, 2009:  Introductory Jamboree Meeting

--Harmon Park Activity Center, Kearney, NE, 3:00 to 5:00pm

This will be our first Troop meeting and all participants and parents should attend.  We will be giving an overview of the activities including pre-jamboree troop meetings, pre-jamboree tour and jamboree.  We will also be talking about paperwork, equipment and other important information.

 

September 13th, 2009:  First Jamboree Troop Meeting

--Camp Augustine

We will be having interviews for SPL, ASPL, Quartermaster and Scribe.  Patrols will be assigned and Patrol names selected.  Low COPE events will be done.  Patrol leaders will be elected.

 

January 17th,  2009:  Jamboree Physicals

--Kearney Orthopedic and Sports Medicine, 3500 Central Ave, Kearney, NE

We will be meeting at 2:30 pm at KOSM for physicals only.  Be sure to bring your filled out physical forms to this meeting.  If you have not received your form from National, please contact Lori at the Scout Service Center.

 

February 21, 2010:  Second Jamboree Troop Meeting

--Eustis-Farnam High School Gym and Pool, Eustis, NE, 1pm to 4 or 5 pm

We will continue work on Troop preparation for the Jamboree.  Swim checks will be performed, so bring your swim suits and towels.  Council strip designs and t-shirt designs are due.

 

April 11, 2010:  Third Jamboree Troop Meeting

--TBA, most likely North Platte, NE

 

June 4-6, 2010:  Pre-Jamobree Shake down campout

 --Camp Augustine

We will be setting up a camp site similar to the one in Virgina and testing all our equipment.
