In celebration of the Boy Scouts of America’s 100th Anniversary, a Time Capsule Dedication Ceremony was held on Sunday Morning, August 1st as part of our 3rd Annual Merit Badge University.    

All units are asked to bring memorabilia for the time capsule. Memorabilia should be able to fit inside a one gallon freezer bag and be turned in during check-in on Friday evening. Memorabilia could include such items as troop pictures, troop neckerchief, patches, newspaper articles, troop & individual journals, chartering organization’s newsletters, etc.

We had several units participate in our Time Capsule Project.  The time capsule was laid underneath the sidewalk we put in place as part of our service project for Stuhr Museum.  It is located just to the north of the static train display to the south of the main building.  The time capsule will be opened in 2060.  Click here for a list of the 2010 Merit Badge University Time Capsule Inventory.
